Best Western Le Val Majour

Clean, modern hotel with a good, comfortable bed, nice linens, and an updated shower. There are big grounds and plenty of parking, and it has what you need for a night or two. The WiFi kept dropping and needed repeated sign-ins. There’s a pool, but it was too early in the season for us to try it.

We had a very clean, roomy bedroom with a spacious bathroom, and the bed and pillows were exceptionally comfortable. The hotel is in a nice, quiet area. Reception was friendly, and we enjoyed breakfast out on the terrace. The buffet was 12€, though there’s also an express option.

The landscaped grounds have plenty to enjoy: a good tennis court, a large pool that was cold in October, ping-pong, donkeys in a fenced pasture, shaded trees, and table areas. Parking is free and easy, and local towns are accessible, with Fontvieille nearby, though there’s no sidewalk. The hotel sits back from the road, so it stayed quiet even in our front room. Everything was clean and well kept. Our room had no need for heating or AC, and the window opened. Some rooms have small balconies. The shower is small, but there’s not much to be done about that. Breakfast had a good selection for our five-day stay, in a bright room with natural light. Desk staff were helpful in English and French, and said they also knew German.

Haven’t seen the rooms, but the pool was nice and so was the place.
