The sauna worked, though it was in rough shape and showed signs of previous use. We even had to use it to warm the suite because some of the heaters were broken. The bathroom was freezing, and there wasn’t even a small bottle of shower gel or shampoo. At least there was toilet paper. I’m a waitress and don’t get many weekends off, so I’d picked this suite for a chance to recharge. The jacuzzi was empty when we arrived, which I actually found reassuring for hygiene. But after filling it with hot water, the temperature was only 35 degrees. We used it once, got out planning to come back later, and found it wasn’t heating at all. It dropped to 29 degrees. I’d also chosen the place for the fireplace, but there were no logs. Expecting guests to bring their own wood is crazy. The kitchen worked, but drawers were broken and falling out, the corkscrew was broken, and there was no coffee or tea. There was a massage table but no oil to use with it. We paid €180 for what was described as a one-time service and were very disappointed. The owner seemed interested only in making money. I called because we were supposed to get the access code at 2 p.m., but nothing had arrived by 3:30 p.m. The owner was very responsive on the call. Still, telling us to leave at 11 a.m. for maintenance and cleaning while things were in this state makes me think the maintenance needs a serious rethink. I’ve never seen anything like it. Customer service and repairs need a lot of work. We came a week before Valentine’s Day, and the Christmas tree and Santa decorations were still in the suite. This was our first and last visit. I might have tried the other suites on the site, but no thanks.

The only small issue was that the suite felt a little chilly when we arrived, and the bathroom radiator wasn’t working. Two bathrobes would also be nice after using the jacuzzi. The owner was fantastic about answering our questions and even personalized our arrival. We stayed in the Venice suite, which is beautiful and spacious, with a lovely old-world feel. It was peaceful, the cleanliness was impeccable, and towels and linens were included. The fireplace was nice, but bring your own wood. You fill the jacuzzi yourself when you arrive, which is good for hygiene, just switch it on right away so you have time to enjoy it. We ate at the "Le Schlossberg" restaurant and really enjoyed the food. We’d happily recommend this place.

We left before 8 a.m., completely disgusted. We’d nearly left after only two hours, but my partner had already paid €200 and really wanted to surprise me. It turned into one of our worst nights ever. Avoid this place in Bitche at all costs. I’d give it zero stars if that were possible. The room was freezing, maybe 15 or 16 degrees Celsius at most, even with both radiators on, and we were cold all night. The windows aren’t tinted, and the curtains let people see right through, so we didn’t feel any privacy. This so-called dream night is right on the street, with cars and passersby making noise. The ventilation was unbearable, especially overnight and early in the morning. The jacuzzi leaked from the jets and flooded the area around it unless we kept adding water. There were cobwebs and spiders in the toilet, by the bed, and in the kitchenette. The toilet door was broken, the coffee machine didn’t work, and the cushions smelled damp and musty. The instructions for the jacuzzi were in a torn binder, with pages so wet and dried out they were hard to decipher. I’d choose a small, pleasant hotel with a private spa instead, somewhere clean and warm, without damp bedding and pillows despite three dehumidifiers, with working facilities and no feeling of being ripped off.

The place smelled damp, and the jacuzzi was poorly maintained and barely worked. The radiator was cold and broken. There were no bathrobes or dish towels, even though we had to wash the dishes. No toaster either, just three measly coffee pods and no tea or herbal tea. Everything needs redoing. Avoid this place.

My wife booked the Venice One Night Dream suite before reading the Google reviews, relying only on Booking.com. Four days before we arrived, we saw the Google reviews warning people away and worried about spoiling our 5th wedding anniversary. The cancellation refund period had passed, so we contacted David, the host. He reassured us, and we decided to go. We were pleasantly surprised. The negative reviews seem very unfair based on our stay. Everything was as described. Sure, the website photos are more polished and filtered, as they are for hotels generally, but the place was clean. The jacuzzi and sauna both worked fully and were very clean. The bedding was magnificent, and there was a TV, massage table, and balcony. We enjoyed it all. David told me that unhappy guests had made a mess and had their cleaning deposit deducted. I can’t speak to everyone’s experience, but we had a lovely stay. Bring some firewood and a few candles that are easy to dispose of. That’s no big deal for the price. Read the terms and conditions carefully and follow them, and you can have a dream night like we did. I highly recommend it.
