The restaurant was tasty and good value, and the staff were nice. Our accessible room was comfortable, with a great bathroom. It’s a quiet spot on the outskirts of Fougéres, with a pretty park and lake just across the road, handy for dog walks. A good stop on the way from Cherbourg to Brittany. I couldn’t get the WiFi working, though I’m sure reception could have helped if I’d asked. It was late by the time I tried.
2/10
Avoid arriving after 22:00. Even though I’d booked and warned them I’d be getting in late, their key machine didn’t work properly. The emergency contact wasn’t very polite either. Poor service.
2/10
I paid €130 for one night for three people, which felt far too expensive for such a basic hotel. There’s no air conditioning or elevator, and you reach the rooms from outside. The paint on the exterior railing is also half gone.
8/10
The room was lovely, but it got a bit hot. There’s no air conditioning, and the walkway runs right in front of the window. The windows have shutters instead of curtains.
2/10
The bar expects you to whisper and charges £7 a pint. The rooms smelled, and the toilet wouldn’t flush. I’ll never be back.
