Résidence & Spa La Villa Romana

The location made it easy to enjoy the trip, with the beach, supermarket, and other things we needed close by. Check-in and check-out were easy, and our room felt clean and new. The staff were friendly and happy to answer my questions. Thank you!

The apartment had about 10 mosquitoes every night, even though we were there in November. I suspect there was standing water nearby where they were breeding. The gym was also unusable, just a small room with no ventilation and a large shelf of rubber weights that gave off a choking smell. Aside from those problems, the staff were very friendly, everything was clean and well presented, and the building was modern, well built, and spacious. The garden was tidy too.

We booked a week in August 2021 in a fourth-floor, two-bedroom flat for four. The terrace was covered in pigeon droppings and couldn't be used. They cleaned it quickly after we asked, but only partly, and pigeons kept flying around anyway. The shower tap also didn't work properly, so getting cold water was impossible. The bathroom light was out when we arrived, though the local team fixed that quickly. The flat is right in Port Frejus, but we didn't find it a very nice coastal town. The rooftop pool was nice, though small, with limited seating. We'd stayed at other CGH places in the Alps and had a much better experience there, despite the different setting. For the high price, having a disgusting, unusable terrace and a faulty shower wasn't acceptable. I will NOT recommend staying here.

The apartments were very dirty, with worn interiors and some equipment missing. Staff weren't helpful. The location felt awkward, somewhere between the main street and a supermarket. Parking wasn't available despite what was promised when booking. They charged upfront, and I can see why they would do that ;)
