Le Logis de Faugerit

We came back wanting to return. Our hosts were lovely to talk with, and the spacious guest room was very comfortable. The house itself has loads of authentic charm. We used it as a base for a weekend in the Poitevin marshes, with a boat trip and a hot air balloon ride. It’s ideally placed for visiting the marshes, and just 10 minutes from the balloon ride meeting point. We highly recommend it.

We only planned one night, then stayed for three to explore the region, and have no regrets. The host really makes you want to stay and see more of the area. From the gîte, you can explore by boat or bike, or visit the local heritage. A must-do for anyone wanting to discover the region.

The room had a charming retro style, was very well equipped, and looked out over a beautiful garden. Breakfast was fantastic. I arrived early but was still given a very warm welcome. It’s a few kilometres from the Marais Poitevin, which is perfect for enjoying the area. I’ll come back if I’m nearby again.

We loved our six nights here while exploring La Rochelle, the Marais Poitevin and the surrounding area. The owners were delightful, and meeting them was a real pleasure. Our room was spacious, lovely and very clean, with excellent bedding. Breakfasts were generous and came with delicious homemade cakes. The charming house, tucked into lush greenery, was a peaceful place to stay.
