Even with the poor weather, we had a lovely stay in this cozy place. The room was warm and comfortable, and the owner has done a great job turning the old winery into a welcoming home. Fuissé itself is a lovely village among the vineyards, and there’s a pretty garden with a little canal nearby. We’d gladly come back when we’re in the area.

We loved wandering around Fuissé in the evening, with its streams, vineyard views and medieval feel. It’s a tiny village, with fewer than 400 people, and Philippe’s B&B was a great place to stay for our one night. Our host was friendly, helpful and happy to chat without being intrusive. There’s a Michelin-starred restaurant in town at an affordable price, plus a Brasserie with competitive prices. We couldn’t get a table at the restaurant, so we ate at the Brasserie instead, where we had the best meat dish of our trip. I wish we’d had another day to explore.

Phillipe was a kind, thoughtful host, and nothing felt like too much trouble. The food was delicious, and there are plenty of places nearby to try what the Maconaise producers make. The gardens and lounge areas are relaxing, and every room has its own look, all decorated with real care and to a high standard. A lovely base for a stay in Burgundy, with its wines, including Premier Cru Fuissé and the many excellent vignerons. Thoroughly recommend, 5*.

The food and breakfast were great, and the wine was superb. The owner was welcoming and gave us good ideas for places to visit and eat. It’s a beautiful old French winery with accommodation, a lovely lounge and fireplace, and a classic, beautiful room. Definitely recommended. Remember to book dinner there ahead of time!

We stayed for seven nights and still wished we had longer. The room and beds were comfortable, the recommendations for places to visit were great, and they went out of their way to help us with everything. I especially recommend eating there, Boris (the chef) is a genius. We’ll be back!
