The staff made the stay easy from check-in through check-out. Everyone was warm, professional, and ready to help, and the generous, fresh breakfast was even better with the view. Valet parking and a secure garage were convenient extras in Lyon. I loved the location by the Rhône, within a short walk of the old town, shops, and restaurants. The upper-floor views were stunning, especially from the rooftop restaurant, where the refined food and panorama made dinner a highlight. My room was elegant, clean, and comfortable, with a great bed and quality amenities. It was quiet despite the central setting. This wasn’t my first stay at Sofitel Lyon Bellecour, and I’ll be back. It’s a reliable, high-standard hotel that makes Lyon feel special each time.

We had a lovely time over our five-night stay, even though arrival was a little bumpy. The management team dealt with our concerns quickly and helped make the visit enjoyable. The staff were superb, friendly, efficient, and helpful. The hotel could use more updating, especially with the availability of outlets, but I’d stay again. Nicola at the Light Bar and Valentin, the concierge, were outstanding. Thanks to Valentin, we booked a fabulous NYE celebration at a nearby hotel. Mr. Vivien Dalle and Ms. Claire Vautrin also took great care of our needs with real professionalism. I appreciated it all.

I stayed in room 410 for 3 nights. As an Accor ALL Diamond member, I’m supposed to get free weekend breakfast, but they charged me €68 for it at checkout. When I asked, they said they’d refund it, but instead sent me a bill for the guest in room 510. I’m wondering whether the refund went to him. I emailed yesterday morning and still haven’t had a reply. My correct bill was €498.60. I’d given them ALL Gift Cards totaling €570.60 at check-in, so I’m still waiting for the remaining €72 to be returned.

We were in room 529, and the bathroom was awful: skidmarks on the toilet, a broken tissue dispenser, hair around, and mirrors that hadn’t been cleaned at all. Housekeeping seemed to do little beyond making the bed. They also took away edible cookies we’d bought just the day before, whether knowingly or not. I’m not sure how this property gets a 5 star rating. It felt like a 3 star facility at most, and I wouldn’t recommend it to anyone expecting a 5 star stay. They couldn’t even provide a basic lint roller. They need to learn what a real 5 star place should look like. Avoid at all costs. As an Accor property in the heart of Lyon, I expected a much better room. I’d rather not post the photos here.

We were there for five nights for a leadership program, with a group of 40, and the hotel took care of everything we needed. The team was friendly and supportive. I was very impressed and happy with the hospitality.
