The view from the third floor was lovely, and the room was good value. It was basic, but clean and tidy, and the staff were very friendly. The place was quiet and calm, right by the basilica and Roman amphitheater. There's no Wi-Fi, and check-in is only from 16-19. That didn't bother me, though it could be inconvenient for other people. If you don't want the steep walk, there's a funicular. I liked taking the little streets and gardens up and down to the old town.

The rooms are on the small side, but they were super clean. It's up on a hill very close to Fourviere Basilica, and the staff were really friendly. Definitely good value for money.

Breakfast was disappointing for the extra €6,40 per day. The place itself was tidy, with welcoming staff and inexpensive accommodation. It's very close to the amphitheatre and basilica, though getting there from the city centre means a fairly steep climb. The viewing gallery on the third floor has an excellent view.

Alexandra at the welcome desk really made a difference during our short visit. She helped us print our boarding passes for the return flight and sorted out other things too, always saying it was just "normal" when we thanked her. She was professional and warm. She seemed to know Lyon inside out, from shopping and the metro to what different neighbourhoods have to offer. That made it much easier for my wife and me to get settled in the city. I managed with my passable French, so I don't know whether she speaks English. Thanks again for all your help, Alexandra.

The rooms have the necessities, and the price is reasonable. It's in a great location near Fourvière Basilica. I'd consider staying here again for another one-night stop in Lyon.
