The location is extremely convenient, and across the river there are plenty of good restaurants run by immigrant families in a less touristy area. We stayed in two rooms over three nights. The first-floor room was larger but looked onto an interior lightwell. Our fourth-floor room was smaller, Tokyo-style, with great light through a large window. The amenities were perfectly adequate, modern, well designed, and efficient. For two mornings we ate breakfast at the hotel. Everything was fresh, there was lots of choice, and it was nice to get scrambled eggs and a self-serve boiled egg station after so many bakery pastries. The tea and coffee were good too, and the lobby coffee setup was comfortable and cute. The staff, including Laurent, Perrine, Souad, Hadji, Remi, and others, were incredibly welcoming and helpful. They made our stay wonderful.

This family-run boutique hotel is cozy, spotless, and well designed. The location is excellent and the price felt like great value. A lovely option whether you're here for work or fun.

We could get coffee in the lobby at any hour, and it was a charming space. The rooms were spotless and well kept, and the staff were very helpful. Bellecour Square, Old Lyon, and lots of shops, cafés, and restaurants are nearby, making it easy to see the city on foot.

The staff were friendly and helpful, and the location was really convenient. But the single room was cramped enough to feel like a Hobbit hole. The door wouldn't open all the way, getting into the shower meant turning sideways, and the toilet was such a tight squeeze you'd better weigh under 70 kg. At €140 a night, there are much better choices nearby.

The room was on the small side, which seems normal for this area and France, and it wasn't much different from other hotels we stayed in on the trip. Everything else made for a great stay at Le Republik. The location is hard to beat: central enough that we walked to almost everything. The staff were lovely and helpful, the hotel decor was beautiful, and I enjoyed the lounge. They also have a water dispenser with still and sparkling water. Merci beaucoup!
