This is such a beautiful spot, and the home-cooked food was delicious. The bar is well stocked, even with Chartreuse 🤤. The staff are fantastic, especially our host Fabrice. It’s a quiet place with a great pool, but you really need a car to get there. We walked 23 km to Calvi with our luggage in August, which was a lot, but it was worth it.

The sea views are beautiful, and the hotel itself feels new and luxurious, with a lovely pool. The chalets are very basic and long overdue for replacement, so I didn’t think they were good value. Wi-Fi was poor, though it worked okay at reception. Getting around takes time: Calvi is about 40 minutes away on an extremely poor coastal road, and the drive to Galeria takes 15 minutes and is somewhat less bad. Plan for travel time for any activities.

The food was pretty average, and the service felt very unprofessional. They kept interrupting while we tried to order, and wouldn’t let us share a meal. My husband and I wanted to split a menu of two dishes and a dessert, but they refused. They even left me without a fork or knife, apparently to make sure we couldn’t share.

We’d stayed here four years ago, and the rooms have had a nice upgrade since then. We made a few booking mistakes, but the owner was flexible about it. The restaurant was very good, and the people were lovely.

Right in the Corsican maquis, it’s a wonderful secluded place. The hosts are really friendly, and the restaurant serves lots of Corsican specialties and is very good. I’d especially recommend a room with a sea view.
