Hôtel Palazzu et SPA - Adults only

The restaurant is worth recommending too, with delicious food made from fresh, local ingredients. The location is central and good for an evening stroll, and for us it was a nice change of pace after a day on the motorcycle. We had an excellent room and a very warm welcome. Thank you!

The staff were friendly, and for the price and location in Galeria, it was quite good. We only spent one night there. Everything was fine apart from the neighbors in the villa below our window, who shouted instead of talking until midnight. Breakfast was basic.

Our room was bright, clean, and nicely spacious, with original decor. We were given a very warm welcome as well. The breakfast was fairly basic, which is the one thing I'd improve.

We chose the place for two reasons, parking and, most of all, air conditioning, because of our health issues. But in the middle of a heatwave, with the shutters open and sun pouring in, the tiny room was around 35°C. The shower was unbearably hot, and we got out as fast as we could. About an hour later, she texted to say a technician was coming because the air conditioning wasn't cooling. That made it seem she already knew there was a problem when we arrived. She was at her restaurant 800 meters away when she handed us the keys, not at the hostel. When we returned, the technician said the air conditioning was broken and that she knew it wasn't cooling. We told her we couldn't stay and asked for a refund or at least some compensation. She said, "Sure, check with Booking.com." At 8 pm, we called every hotel in Galeria trying to find somewhere else. It was difficult, and we ended up having to sleep in the car. Later she sent an accusatory message saying we'd misunderstood her. She said she hadn't told us the air conditioning was broken, only that there was no air conditioning. But surely she knew it was malfunctioning, especially after the messages we'd already received about it being broken. She kept messaging, saying things like, "You should have just stayed and opened the window. I know my establishment." I asked again later for compensation or a refund, but she stopped replying. We'll have to give up on getting our money back, but I'm posting this anyway. Avoid this place.
