We had a very comfortable two-night stay despite the rainy weather, and the little stream running below the treehouse made the setting feel romantic. The treehouses are beautifully designed and set apart in the forest, out of sight of one another. Friendly donkeys graze in the meadow below. Jerome was patient, friendly, and accommodating, showing us how everything worked. You can request breakfast delivered in a basket by pulley. Our smaller treehouse was clean, with slightly African-style decor. It has a small heater and fridge that run on gas, like in a camper. Electricity comes from 12V solar panels, so charging a phone from the wall outlet may not work, but Jerome is happy to help. There are several lamps for the bedroom, bathroom, suspension bridge, and terrace, so it isn’t dark. Hot water takes a little effort: you need to light a fire in the wood-fired boiler. If you get it going properly in the evening, there should still be hot water for a shower the next morning, even when it’s cool. I think it’s a continuous flow heater, so the hot water can’t run out. The toilet is a bit unusual. With no sewer line, it’s a dry toilet, but when used properly it doesn’t smell, and it’s emptied every day.
