Camping Napoléon

We stayed in a pitch with our camper van and really enjoyed the views from this clean, quiet campground. Check-in was easy, and the bathrooms were clean and well looked after. There's a lovely pool and playground on site, plus a restaurant with a good range of entrees, a nice wine list, and desserts. I'd definitely recommend it and come back.

This campsite is beautiful, and the facilities make it very reasonably priced. We called half an hour ahead and were told there was plenty of room. Veronique welcomed us at reception like old friends. We went for apperos, liked the atmosphere so much that we stayed for dinner, and the wood-fired pizza was delicious. Service was top class the whole time, especially Veronique!

We stayed one night at Camping Napoléon with our dog, in a tent pitch. The pitch was lovely, with shade and a breeze. At dinner, our waitress was polite, attentive to our table, and very service minded. I'd give her five stars. The owner at reception was friendly too, and even offered to sell us a plate of food when we arrived after the restaurant had closed. The sanitary facilities were a real letdown, just one star. There was no key for the shower, even though the bathroom was unisex. Since there were two of us it wasn't a problem, but I wouldn't have showered alone. There was nowhere to leave clothes without them getting wet, so I had to put mine outside where they could be stolen. It wasn't very clean, either, and the shower water was cold.

The owner is good at keeping up appearances, but our service was bad because of one adult woman waitress. She acted like the world should revolve around her, asked far too many personal questions, and walked off during her shift. The food was alright, but nothing special. I won't recommend this place and will avoid it on my next holiday. There are better campsites nearby, so I'd choose one of those instead of wasting time and money here.
