Le Moulin de Lavon

The best meal we had on our vacation was the four-course dinner, made with ingredients sourced entirely locally and wine from Moulin de Lavon. Gilles changes the set menu each day to match what’s in season, and you can see how much care he puts into cooking. The price was very reasonable, too. By the end of dinner, a double rainbow had appeared, which was amazingly lucky. Gilles and Isabelle made us feel so welcome, the rooms and property are lovely and picturesque, and the service was impeccable. Such a beautiful, peaceful place to stay in the Luberon.

The garden, pool, ping pong table, and playground make for a lovely setting, and the location works really well for visiting the villages around the Luberon Valley. The owners are friendly and welcoming. Dinner is well worth doing: it’s a delicious four-course meal at a great price, and a nice chance to meet the other guests. Breakfast was delicious as well.

We had a table d’hôte in June and really enjoyed it. It’s an authentic, lovely place in the heart of Provence, with a very nice owner, excellent food, and great service. I’d recommend trying a bottle of local Cremont.

We rented the gîte for a year-end get-together with about thirty friends, and everything worked out perfectly. The welcome was warm, and the place is thoughtfully set up with plenty of amenities. The walls keep noise in check, and every bedroom has its own bathroom and toilet, separate from the main living area. We’re delighted with the stay and will definitely come back.
