Free parking right at the hotel made it easy to arrive, and it's just a short way from the motorway. By car, Strasbourg city centre takes around 20 minutes, a few miles away. I've used this hotel chain many times, so I know what I'm getting: a basic low-cost place with a bed, TV, shower, and toilet. For me as a solo traveller, it's good value.

For two months I've been waiting for a refund after being charged twice. I explained what happened and got promises twice that it would be fixed, but the money still hasn't come back. There was also no heating in one room during the whole stay, and the hot water stopped for the final two days. They kept saying the problems would be fixed, but nothing changed. The room had a strong sweat smell too. Worst hotel I've stayed in. Avoid it.

The room smelled awful, with flies on the walls, and the bathrooms and shower rooms were dirty and bad-smelling. The neighborhood felt creepy and unwelcoming. Even at the entrance there were sketchy older men smoking. I wouldn't stay here again, not even for the night I paid for.

We got what we expected from a cheap hotel. The breakfast is inexpensive, but there's not much choice, and the showers and washrooms are outside the rooms.
