Contact Hôtel Le Provence

We booked this hotel even though other places were cheaper because we wanted our two kids to enjoy the pool while we waited to move into our next accommodation the following day. We arrived late Friday and learned the pool was closed for maintenance. I understand maintenance is needed, but we had paid extra for a hotel with a pool. When we left, we politely asked whether the unavailable facility could be reflected on the invoice. (owner/Isabelle) looked puzzled, got defensive, raised her voice and insulted me. She wouldn't acknowledge the problem, saying dismissively that since I'd prepaid, she didn't know how to offer anything and it wasn't possible. I said the travel agent could arrange a small partial refund if she contacted them. She shouted that I was saying she didn't know how to do her job. Then she told us to get out of her hair and said she'd call them to arrange a refund. Nothing came. The travel agent contacted her, and Isabelle said she'd changed her mind and wouldn't offer anything after all. She'd basically lied to get rid of us, capping off her behaviour.

Our car broke down nearby, so we needed somewhere for three nights. The manager gave us such a warm, kind welcome. The rooms had been newly decorated, were very clean and comfortable, and the breakfast was great. Our kids especially loved the pancake machine! Gemenos is a really pretty town, and the centre is a short walk away. We'd definitely recommend this place.

Great from A to Z: friendly staff, a new pool and a good breakfast. Restaurant Marius **** is within walking distance.

Excellent.
