HOTEL DE LA ROUTE VERTE

The room was dusty, and snow hadn't been cleared from the emergency stairs. We also had a frustrating breakfast: when we asked for more omelet, the woman said there were no eggs left because another group had already eaten all of it twice that morning, and she worried they'd do it again. We arrived 30 minutes before breakfast ended, and breakfast was charged separately. Eventually they agreed to make one egg's worth of omelet for two people. I left headphones worth over 200 euro in the room. When I called that evening there was no answer, and the next day I was emailed that they weren't there. There was a note on each room door saying forgotten items would be mailed to you, so that response didn't make sense to me. I assumed someone, perhaps the cleaning staff, had taken them. Later, the owner said they'd found the headphones, but claimed they hadn't told me. Their only message to me had said nothing was found in the room. They also wouldn't let a courier collect them, so they kept them. They separately pointed out that they'd put an extra child bed in our room, though I had paid an additional 40 euro for it, and bragged about the effort involved. Very unprofessional, and a joke for the tourism industry. May God bless you with health, love and nice moments in life.
