The location and the view were great, but the apartment stay fell far short of what we expected. The host wasn't welcoming or pleasant, which made us uncomfortable. The heating system made constant noise, especially disruptive at night, and when we raised it, we were told, “that's normal.” There's a €70 cleaning fee, or you have to clean it yourself. That seems excessive for an apartment this size, especially since it wasn't particularly clean when we arrived. They said it was impossible, for sure. Check-in and checkout times are completely inflexible, which made planning difficult with travel constraints. It felt like they didn't care about our comfort or opinion. Save yourself the trouble and book somewhere else.

After I eventually reached the owner today using a French phone number, the PayPal payment was refunded as requested. My emails were still left unanswered, and communication was difficult. Before that, we'd booked through their website, paid a deposit, and then had to cancel a couple of days later because our plans changed, many weeks before the stay. The site advertised free cancellation up to 14 days before the reservation, but Villa Lo Slo didn't answer any of our attempts to contact them by email, PayPal, or the website. I was still waiting for the deposit back. Customer service before the stay was really lacking, so I'd recommend booking through a third-party site to avoid this ordeal. I had requested the PayPal deposit back on PayPal and by email more than a week earlier.

The hosts blamed the guests instead of apologizing for their service, which says a lot about their poor communication and management. They were extremely rude and unkind, and didn't know how to treat guests respectfully. Our stay in the apartment was a real disappointment. We absolutely don't recommend the experience.
