The owner was aggressive and really shouldn't be hosting. There wasn't enough room in the hotel, and nowhere to sit while my partner was asleep. Breakfast cost too much for what was served. I wouldn't recommend staying here.

The owner's way of asking for cash on the booking day, with no clear explanation, felt like a scam and very unprofessional. The chalet is run-down, poorly kept, and nowhere near what the photos show. Furniture is worn, the finishing is sloppy, and cleanliness seemed questionable. The welcome was cold and unpleasant, almost insulting, and left us feeling like we were in the way from the start. It was also impossible to relax because the chalet sits right beside an extremely busy road, with traffic noise day and night. We couldn't enjoy the surroundings or get proper rest. When you rent in the Vosges, you expect some peace, hospitality, and respect. We got none of that, and the stay wasted both time and money. There are plenty of charming, well-located chalets in the Vosges, so I'd look elsewhere for somewhere better cared for and more welcoming.

The owners were awful, even trying to make us leave at 3:45 pm despite having said they would arrive between 5 and 6 pm. They also made no gesture over the broken boiler, which was really disappointing. The welcome was terrible, and being so close to the road made it very noisy. At least we had some wonderful family time.

The room was cozy and comfortable, a relaxing place to spend the night as a family. We had a delicious dinner and a great breakfast, too. The manager was warm and pleasant, and the welcome was perfect. I'd recommend this place, and I think we'll return with friends for another nice stay.
