The food was tasty and well prepared, and the owner was usually friendly and smiley, except for one time. The room was clean and had air conditioning, but it was small, basic, and very dated. The shower and toilet were squeezed into a tiny plastic pod in the corner. Upstairs rooms are only reachable by stairs. There’s little private parking, though a public car park is across the road. The biggest problem was a really strong damp, bacterial smell that hit as soon as I entered and spread through the whole building. It seemed to come from the shower area in my room, possibly a drainage issue. For a budget overnight stop, the room was adequate. It’s a small, family-run hotel in a rural village.

The staff were so kind that our whole group will remember them fondly. We also had a delicious, comforting dinner after a long day of walking, and it was nicely balanced. The welcome was fantastic, and the hotel is in a great spot for sightseeing. Excellent value for money.

The outdoor setting and village square are really pretty, though they don't serve on the terrace. Inside, the retro decor adds to the comic feel of the place. The welcome was basic and tired, and a dog kept scratching at my calves and begging from table to table, sometimes climbing onto them. Every dish came with noodles in the same slimy, whitish sauce, more like trench-war soldier stew than a decent meal. It was an awful dinner, but in hindsight the whole thing was so absurd it was amusing. Worth seeing for the humor of it all. :-D

When the restaurant opened in late August 2023, I went there before visiting the magnificent Carolingian oratory next door. The welcome was friendly, and the place has a pleasant bar, dining room, and billiards table. The dishes were well prepared and good value for money. I’d recommend it if you’re looking for some peace and quiet.

For €70, the quality felt poor and the price excessive. Breakfast wasn't good, and the pain au chocolat was due to expire that very day. There was no soundproofing, and the bathroom was cramped, with a narrow shower. I'm 1.80 m tall and weigh 67 kg, and even so it felt tight. I wouldn't recommend it.
