The restaurant right next door is great, and the university is only a short walk away. Really handy location.

The room was clean, but it had no air conditioning and felt really stuffy. The staff weren't very helpful either. Grenoble wasn't what I expected, with high-rise flats and what seemed like a rough feel to it. France has so many lovely places to visit, but I won't be coming back here.

The hotel is a fair way from the city, and the nearest train station is a 15-minute walk. Still, for the price the room was clean, including the mattress, and the value was good. Breakfast was simple but fine, with good scrambled eggs. I also left my Kindle behind and got it back a few days later, which I really appreciate.

10/10
The room was roomy, the bed was comfortable, and the bathroom worked well for us. We were greeted warmly, and they were happy to arrange a ground-floor room when we asked. We’ll definitely stay with the B&B chain again.

4/10
The Wi-Fi was decent, and the room was reasonably clean, but I wouldn't recommend this place. The rooms are tiny, even the largest ones for four people, and ours had torn sheets. It was cold, with smoke from people outside coming into the room, and there always seemed to be someone smoking. Breakfast choices were poor. For the amenities and service it provides, it costs too much.
