The outdoor space was a real highlight, especially the private area where you can relax to the sound of the water. The garden is lovely, and the house has everything we needed. There’s a comfortable king-size bed in the adults’ bedroom, while the children’s room on the top floor is just as nice and full of toys. The bathroom is fantastic, and the owners made us feel very welcome. I’d happily recommend it.

The working fireplace insert was a plus when we arrived, but that was about it. The place felt badly maintained, with hair on the sheets, crumbs on the blankets, dust and cobwebs, and polyester bedding. There was a sewer smell in the only bathroom, and the bath towels were rough. We could only reach the owners by text, and they didn’t reply. A huge letdown compared with the positive reviews, and very expensive for what we got.

The owners were so attentive and thoughtful. It’s a really charming little cottage, and the outdoor space is superb!
