Ibis Styles Boulogne Centre Cathédrale

The rooms are pretty basic, but the service was good. It's close to the old walled part of town and its many restaurants, which is an excellent location. Breakfast was a real highlight, very good indeed!

Breakfast was fresh and really tasty, and we found the staff friendly and helpful. For the price, the rooms were clean and comfortable, and the location right by the old town is great. One of our beds had a sunken mattress topper that made me feel like I was rolling off the side. There was no tea or coffee setup in the room, and no air conditioning, which really should be there given the noisy road makes it hard to keep the windows open.

The parking takes a little figuring out. There are free parallel spaces if you can find one, or you can use the paid car park across the road. The staff are really nice and the rooms are very clean and fresh. The restaurant is lovely, across from an old castle and city walls, and the seafront in the main town is a 30-minute walk away. It's a great place to stop on your last night before returning to the UK, only about 30 minutes from the channel tunnel. The hotel is in a great location and the staff are great!

Breakfast was plentiful and tasty, and our kids' standard rooms were good, with cathedral views. We paid extra for a premium room, which gave us a wee fridge and a bit more space. The rooms were nice but warm, though fans were provided. It's right beside the lovely walled town and its restaurants. I recommend both this hotel and boulogne itself, which were a pleasant surprise.
