The bathroom was the one bright spot, with what seemed like a new tub and good water pressure. Everything else made for a terrible stay, and even one night felt too long. We chose the apartment for its proximity to Giez golf club, but reception being closed from 12-16:00 and after 19:00 was inconvenient. We were on the ground floor in a one-bedroom unit. There was no balcony like the picture showed, and the small window meant we had to shut the wooden door in front of the inner glass door for privacy. The glass door didn't close properly, and with the wooden one shut the apartment felt claustrophobic. The TV looked like a tiny 14-inch monitor, the sofa had no cushions and looked dirty, and the bed was hard and uncomfortable. The place needs serious maintenance: there was a musty, mildewed smell, no ventilation in the bathroom or toilet, and the heating dryer stopped after two minutes. The freezer door was missing, so the milk, juice and breakfast food we bought all froze. We had to make our own beds. The towels were old and didn't dry well. At checkout we were expected to take out the trash and used linen and towels, wash the dishes, and mop the floor. I definitely wouldn't stay again, and don't think it deserves more than two stars.
The linen was fine and there was plenty of parking, but both the indoor and outdoor pools were closed. The room wasn't clean: black mold in the bathroom, stains on the furniture, and a toilet that smelled of urine and cigarettes with a stuck flush. Booking was difficult, and if you were arriving outside reception hours you had to call on the day itself, not beforehand.
The location is stunning, but the quality and service were a letdown. The rooms were filthy, with grime and stains on the walls, dead flies, and dirt and food on the cups. The bed wasn't made and there were no sheets or towels, so we asked and made the beds ourselves. The staff member was pleasant and apologized, but kept blaming the understaffing, which I felt didn't excuse how bad it was. We paid for breakfast for six, but the selection was poor, average in quality, and enough for maybe two people. We had to ask for more. They need to put more effort into the place, which seems to rely on its location.
The apartment was very small, and with the sofa bed out there was hardly room to move. The furnishings were old, worn and often damaged, and there was black mold in the bathroom. It was extremely hot inside, over 30C when we arrived, with no air conditioning. Opening a window let bugs in. While we were having dinner on the balcony shortly after arriving, two cockroaches fell onto our table. Disgusted, we packed up and left without staying the night. The hotel refused a refund despite several interventions and demanded photos of the cockroaches. When they landed on my plate, taking pictures wasn't what I thought of. I recommend staying away. There were also wasps and other pests.
The only thing that drew me to book here was that it’s within walking distance of Ferme de Gy, where many weddings take place. The people are nice, but the prices are out of range for what you get. There’s no Wi-Fi in the apartments, and cell service only works when you go to the parking lot. Don’t expect basics like salt, pepper, sugar, a dish towel or a fitted sheet.
