The meal itself was pretty bland, and the prices were a little below Sartene, though the portions there are bigger. If you're going that way, Haute-ville in Bonifacio has lots of very good homemade dishes, but it costs more. This place charged 3 euros for filtered water, even though restaurants are supposed to provide water free with a food order, and every other restaurant we visited did. The insults and intimidation, apparently, came at no charge. I told the waitress, who was nice about it, that I found the food bland. Later, when the owner asked how it was, he started insulting me during checkout after I answered. He called me cheap for ordering a beer instead of water, stood inches from my face as if he might punch me, then waited in the parking lot to insult me some more. If the food isn't to your taste, apparently the safest move is to pay without saying anything and leave straight away. Completely unhinged. Don't stop there.

The food was rustic and good, and the promotions make the place look appealing. It's also on the road to Ajaccio. But I only found out after eating that they wouldn't take cards, with no notice beforehand. That left me making a 20-kilometre round trip to Sartene for cash. It felt like a trap, and it's stressful to discover this once you've finished your meal. Even market stalls around here take cards. I don't object if cash-only is their policy, but they should say so before anyone orders.

The grilled meat was fantastic, and the setting made for a lovely dinner. Service was attentive too. When wasps started coming around our table, they brought over some smoky wood chips.

The bar has a gorgeous view, and the setting is beautiful. The people were nice, but the food was very average. We were hoping for tender meat with Corsican flavours, and what we got was bland at best.

The food was top notch, and everyone was so friendly. It's a charming, unusual place with great service. One of my favourite spots from our whole trip to Corsica.
