La Dime de Giverny - Chambres D'hôtes

We were traveling to Mont St Michel and had a brief but outstanding stay. The scenery was breathtaking, the rooms spotless, and the atmosphere lovely and inviting. Breakfast was delicious and satisfying, and parking just outside was convenient. The historic buildings, lush gardens, and picturesque courtyard have a fascinating story. It’s also close to the Monet gardens and Musee de l'Impressionnisme. Our host’s remarkable hospitality added so much to the visit, and I’m already looking forward to returning.

We really enjoyed being in Giverny in the evening, after the tour buses had left. This historic property is beautiful and close to the main area, so we could walk to the places we wanted to see and to local restaurants. Our room was clean and modern, with comfortable beds, though the sit-down shower took some maneuvering. Breakfast in the morning was hearty and delicious.

The courtyard location was absolutely flabbergasting. We were lucky to get what seemed to be the last room available during that period in this beautiful, romantic place, though it felt a little expensive for what we got. Maybe the other rooms were better. The furniture looked cheap and sparse, even considering the historic “Monet” spirit. There was no fridge, little comfort, and little privacy. There were also nice alternatives nearby at better prices.

We only came for a meal, not an overnight stay. The place is lovely, and everyone was warm and welcoming. The grilled salmon, shrimp, and vegetables were all delicious. The food was fantastic.
