La Bastide de Saint Tropez

We often eat at Restaurant L’Olivier when we stay at La Bastide, and the food is consistently good. They use local ingredients and change the menu with the seasons, which makes sense here. The garden is lovely and well kept, and the pool area stays genuinely quiet. It's a dependable place if you want a well-run hotel with comfort and a break from the noise in the centre. The staff know what they're doing, and the atmosphere has a quiet confidence.

The free shuttle into the city center and back is a real plus when you call for it. Beyond that, the place felt a bit superficial to me. It looks nice at first glance, but the rooms are tiny and don't offer much of a view. Service could be a lot better, and at times the atmosphere seems pretentious.

I went for dinner and brunch while I was in Saint-Tropez, and both meals were incredible. The gardens are stunning, and the elegant but relaxed atmosphere made me feel transported as soon as I walked in. Every dish looked beautiful and was full of flavor, and the staff made me feel genuinely cared for. I'm so glad I got to see this refined, peaceful side of Saint-Tropez, with so much heart. I'd love to stay here on my next visit. Highly recommend!

The location was my smaller concern. It's a bit far from the town center and not walkable, and although there's a free shuttle, Saint-Tropez traffic can mean a wait for pickup. Room size bothered me more. I understand space is at a premium in St. Tropez, but my so-called junior suite was really a very small hotel room. There's plenty to like here, though: beautiful grounds, a delightful pool area, a very good restaurant, and truly first-class staff.
