Auberge du Tisserand

Even though we got there a bit late, at 9:00 PM, the service was excellent and we got helpful advice. Booking was easy, too. I had the homemade cordon bleu with a really good cheese sauce, and the portions were generous. Warm welcome and good food. A friendly, welcoming place.

The all-you-can-eat fried carp was good, but we were seated at the very back in a draft, with other guests close by. We were with our mothers, both over 80 and freezing, so we asked to move. The staff said it wasn't possible because the other tables were reserved, even though another table that arrived later and sat near us asked the same thing. After we'd finished eating, the waiter cleared our plates without checking whether we wanted more, and we did. The place itself is lovely, with a beautiful covered terrace. I also had trouble finding the women's restroom because the door logo had disappeared, and another customer had to point it out. We stopped at the Auberge du Tisserand in Gommersdorf on our way back to Franche-Comté. We ate well, but it's a shame about the seating and service. My reviews are close to 6 million views, and I'd have liked to give this place 5 stars. Missed opportunity!

We had a great time over tarte flambée, and the restaurant is even part of the tarte flambée brotherhood. It was hard to find somewhere open on a Friday night, but we got lucky with this nice little place. Book ahead or there may be no seats. I recommend it.

The food is good, nicely presented, and there’s a decent selection, though the prices are a bit high. Parking is limited: there’s a small lot behind the restaurant, and otherwise you have to park on the street out front.
