Logis Hôtel les Platanes

We really enjoyed meeting Sylvie, and the place was such a comfortable, charming stop on our drive home to the UK from southern France. It’s modern but still has character. There’s a park just across the road for walking the dog, and the town is only a two-minute walk away. Since local places were busy over Easter, Sylvie booked us into a dog-friendly restaurant, where we had a lovely tagine. We’d recommend staying here and hope to come back for longer. Thank you!

The host even put out some cheese after realizing we’re Dutch and like it with breakfast. The French-style breakfast was very good, and the B&B was clean and nicely decorated. Lovely place and a nice host. I can recommend it without any doubt!

There are several restaurants within walking distance, plus some nice places to walk around the small town. I picked this little B&B-style hotel because I thought it would be handy for the motorway, though it’s actually a few kilometres along national roads from the exits. That slower drive was a nice way to wind down after rushing along at 130 km/h. My room was delightful and artfully decorated, with a separate sitting area where I could read and have a drink before heading out. It’s especially quiet at the back, overlooking fields. The owner and staff were pleasant and helpful, and spoke English, maybe other languages too. Breakfast costs extra, but it’s inexpensive and very nice.

A great place to stop, or even better, stay a few extra days while travelling to or from the south through Bourgogne.
