The stone and authentic charm make this place magnificent. If that's your kind of setting, you'll feel right at home. Breakfast came with plenty to choose from: cereal, yogurt, hot chocolate, tea and coffee, plus croissants, pain au chocolat, bread and butter, and excellent jams.

The area is lovely for walks, and we came away feeling completely refreshed. Even though it was only an hour from home, it felt like a real escape. The place itself was charming, clean and peaceful, especially as a February retreat. Eric gave us a very warm welcome and was kind and helpful. I'll definitely keep this address in mind.

The first time, two years ago, was a lovely discovery. The service was great, the pool and setting were idyllic, and the meals there were delicious. We came back this year, but it was disappointing: the room wasn't very clean, meals were no longer available on site, and the grounds seemed neglected. Such a shame.

We came for the pool, but the water, bottom and color were disgusting, and the paint was peeling. The exterior woodwork was also appallingly neglected. The photos seem to be from when the place had just been renovated, so don't trust them. Our attic room had no air conditioning, which I'd missed when booking and turned out to matter. The host was very kind and welcoming. Inside was fairly clean if you aren't expecting a four-star hotel, and breakfast was adequate, though not amazing.
