The woman at Moulin du Plain was so kind. While she got food ready for the rest of our group, she called a man who drove us back to our cars like a private taxi. We were stranded at the restaurant after a sudden storm interrupted our Doubs boat trip one Saturday in June, with no way to reach the cars ourselves. They really saved us. A huge thank you from all of us, the CZ / CH (BS / BL) boat group. We had a lovely time and will definitely come back.

The meal was generous and made with high-quality ingredients, with the Moulin's signature dishes given their own distinctive touches. We had a great evening with friends, and enjoyed a friendly conversation with the owners afterward. Olivier and Georges made us feel welcome in the lovely setting. After being closed for a long time, the iconic Moulin du Plain is open again with a new team and a new look, but the food is just as good. Thanks to the owners for taking on this new challenge. We look forward to returning, and wish them continued success.

We left with full stomachs and a bit of a wobble, ready to take on the Doubs River. Twenty hungry young people turned up at 11 in the morning, and the patient staff served us plenty of fries and an impressive amount of beer. It was a seriously boozy start to the day, and apparently fried food is still the best preparation for sinking with a smile.
