La Lezardiere

The Quercy room was beautifully decorated, with a well-equipped bathroom and a separate toilet. We were welcomed by James with a drink when we arrived. The shared kitchen is thoughtfully laid out, and some basic ingredients were available for us to use. A lovely terrace looks out over the garden. We spent three nights here in a magnificent, idyllic setting and would highly recommend it. Alain and Nicole

James is a really friendly host, always available and quick to respond to requests. He does his best to help, and the welcome drink was a nice touch. The location is ideal for exploring the region, with places in the Périgord all within about an hour’s drive. The Quercy room is nicely decorated, with a great bed, pillows, duvet, sheets, and towels. It’s spacious, but there’s no room for a table or a chair or sofa to relax indoors. That matters when it’s chilly or raining, as it was during our mid-May stay. The room would be perfect in sunny weather. There’s a small terrace outside each room for meals, plus an upstairs covered terrace for rainy days, but no enclosed shared room to get out of the cold. The kitchen is shared by the two rooms, accessed from outside, and very well equipped. A washing machine and laundry supplies are available. It’s a lovely room in someone’s home, though it isn’t a bed and breakfast: breakfast isn’t served, there’s no shared lounge, and the kitchen is too small for dining.

We spent 10 days at La Lezardiere, enjoying the garden and the terraces where we ate. It’s a beautiful, relaxing setting, and the room was nicely decorated, with a bathroom that had a walk-in shower. The kitchen is just beside the cottage and well equipped. We only missed a salad spinner, which is so handy, and a small ice pack in the fridge because it was so hot. We didn’t get to meet Caroline, which was a shame, but James was friendly and helpful. We just wish we spoke English so we could communicate with him! A place to remember.

James and Caroline were so hospitable and friendly, and we felt welcome from the start. The room was spacious and cozy, with a good bed and modern bathroom. There’s a private terrace overlooking a large garden full of trees. It got sun all day, but the room stayed cool. The beautiful kitchen is fully equipped and available to guests. Lots of nice places to visit by car nearby. We’d happily stay several days or come back again.
