Residence Les Ségalières

The staff were so welcoming, and the site is simple, quiet, and surrounded by nature. Shops are close by, and it’s well placed for visiting local sights. The accommodation is a little dated, but has what you need for a holiday. We had a really nice week. After days out sightseeing, the kids loved joining other campsite children for games or going to the pool, while we enjoyed an aperitif and a game of pétanque 😆

The small pool and gym were nice extras, and the location is handy for local attractions, especially the wildlife park just across the road. We stayed at Les Ségalieres at the end of August and liked the peaceful feel of the residence and the charming receptionist. There were fewer people around, so it didn’t feel crowded. We’d been a bit worried after reading earlier reviews, but our accommodation was clean. There might have been a fly or two and a few ants, which you’d expect in such a wooded, natural setting. We enjoyed seeing birds and squirrels. It’s not a concrete jungle with everything perfectly manicured, so it depends what you’re looking for. If you don’t like nature, it may not be for you. The main bedroom was a little small, though the king-size mattress was a big plus. Some extra storage would have been useful.

The setting is very pleasant and natural, and the place has useful facilities including a pool and fitness room. The little house is functional and fairly well equipped, though the decor and insulation are a bit dated. It was very quiet in September, but I wonder how it is in peak season.

The chalets were very clean and quiet, and we got a warm welcome from staff who were attentive to guests. Shops are five minutes away by car. We walked there using the path behind chalets 101 and 102, and it takes 30 to 45 minutes to get to the village. Mr. and Mrs. Dupont Stay from October 18th to 25th
