Hôtel de l'Europe Grenoble Hyper Centre

For a short stay, I’d highly recommend this hotel, especially if you like historic buildings. I chose it for the friendly, helpful staff, and it was a bonus that they speak English too. My three days in Grenoble were comfortable: the room was clean, had AC and a great view. Breakfast was modest, as is common in France, but quite good, fresh and tasty.

Such a charming building and interior, with spacious rooms and bathrooms. The location is amazing, close to restaurants, shops, a grocery store, public parking and public transport. There’s an arrangement with Lafayette Public Parking, bringing the rate down from $33 to $15 a day. Exit #1 is closest, about a 2 minute walk to the hotel. There’s AC, and both the parking garage and hotel have elevators. They’re small, enough for one adult with a large bag. Breakfast has baguettes and croissants in plain, raisin and chocolate varieties, fruit salad, cereal and granola. There’s a machine for hard boiled eggs, but no toaster. Coffee, milk, tea, orange juice and apple juice are available.

The window view of the city and Alpes was what impressed us most. The hotel is in central Grenoble, and the staff were kind and friendly. The rooms are small but clean and had everything we needed. Continental breakfast is available to order.

A very nice hotel with a delicious breakfast and a great central location. By French standards, our room was big and nice. We upgraded to 16 square meters, which gave us lots of space and a lovely view of the center and Mountains. We’ll definitely book here again when we visit Grenoble in the future.
