Villa Sainte-Garde B&B

I'm sorry to post this about the hosts, but I want to describe our family's two-night stay booked through Booking.com. We paid for the 100m², three-bedroom suite while visiting Spirou Park and Colorado Provençal. It wasn't very expensive and the location was good, but I left really disappointed. For a brief stop when you don't plan to cook, it might be okay. The breakfast was good, too. The main problem was the "kitchenette." In a double-door cupboard there was a small fridge, a two-burner electric hob, a little frying pan and saucepan, and cutlery, plates, and glasses for three people. Our host did lend us a saucepan for five, more dishes and cutlery, and a microwave, which was listed in the description but hadn't been supplied. There was no toilet paper in the bathroom when we arrived. The mosquitoes were swarming, grrr... We got there around 4:30 p.m., but they weren't expecting us. I had to park a trailer with wood in the square. The rooms were fairly large with comfortable beds, though a bit dated. I'd chosen the 100m² option with a TV lounge and three bedrooms, plus two bathrooms. The lounge was in the owner's area and had no TV. Our host let us use it and brought down a small screen with his computer so we could watch the French rugby team's World Cup match. Internet access was cut off the first night around 9 p.m. and didn't come back until 7 a.m. the next day. The explanation was, "oh yes, we cut it off at night..." I had to complain to Booking.com three times to get a bill because they didn't want to issue one. When they finally did, it had the wrong dates. In the end, my 100m² suite was just three bedrooms and a bathroom with the toilet in it. Maybe it's time this friendly elderly couple took some time for themselves and stopped running a bed and breakfast...
