Large T2 - 52m2 fully renovated 2021 for 5 people - Well located #CE

We had a wonderful stay, and I’m grateful for how well we were looked after. The owner speaks good English and helped with our questions as well as a future booking elsewhere in France. The hotel is owner-operated, and the service was friendly and helpful. It’s only a short walk from the main railway station and an easy walk into central Grenoble. The rooms were clean and tidy, with what we needed without paying extra for more. I’d highly recommend it for a stay in Grenoble.

We needed just one night, and this worked out as easy and reasonably priced. There’s a nice restaurant about 50 metres from The Hotel. When we arrived, The Owner was very pleasant. The room was basic, but clean and quiet, with a comfortable bed. It felt like fair value, and I’d consider the Hotel Lux again if I needed an overnight stop while traveling through Grenoble. The location is very convenient for the Train Station.

This hotel is very cheap, so maybe you could manage one night, but for a week in Grenoble I’d look for somewhere cozier. The room was extremely small, and the bathroom felt like a tiny plastic airplane bathroom. The elevator can’t even fit one person with bags, and a wheelchair won’t fit either.

Free breakfast and an unbeatable price are the main draw. It’s a reasonably priced room in the city center, and Hotel Lux is functional and does the job. I had a room to myself, which was fine, though it was compact. Hopefully they have larger twin and double rooms. The en suite is a capsule-style setup.
