Les Maisons Solaires

These are fairly good apartments for either a short or a longer stay. I'd say they're okay, and I'd recommend them.

The cottages are in a good location and are in good condition. Kids will do well in the large dormitory downstairs. But for the price, the stated capacity of 15 feels a bit optimistic: the fridge is tiny, and there aren't enough chairs, table space, or dishes. It also feels more like an apartment hotel than a family cottage, with no decorations, games, tourist information, or even a little Christmas tree.

I booked through Booking.com and messaged the owner to let them know about our stay and reservation. They replied, but 20 days later an automated message said our 2024 booking had been canceled and moved to the following year because the house wasn't available on our dates. I wouldn't recommend this accommodation if you want to deal with honest, professional people. If you don't want to risk a canceled reservation, look elsewhere.

Sheets and towels are included, and the staff were very welcoming. They were flexible about check-in and check-out, too. The accommodation is quiet and well designed, with parking in front or alongside. Downstairs there's a home cinema TV and three bunk beds, sleeping six, which is handy for children. On the ground floor there's a shower and separate toilet. Upstairs are four flexible bedrooms with single beds only, plus a bathroom with a shower and bathtub and another separate toilet. The furniture works but is showing its age, for example, the shelves in the first bedroom's wardrobe need reattaching. The toaster is too small for an apartment this size, and there are no bathroom bins. We liked having no TV in the living room, and played lots of board games.
