Joël made us feel so welcome and looked after us throughout our stay. He shared the story of the hotel, which made the visit more personal, and was thoughtful and attentive even at breakfast. Our room at Château Rose in Grimaud was lovely, with a charming private garden. The hotel has been renovated beautifully and feels brand new, with a fresh but refined atmosphere. It’s a beautiful new address in Grimaud, and we’d be delighted to return.
The staff made the stay: they were delightful, always ready to help, and especially attentive to our dog Ozzy. We stayed for a week in beautiful rooms and loved the fabulous pool area and relaxing surroundings. There are lovely places nearby, including St.Tropez and St.Maxine. We had a car, which we needed, though Grimaud was a pleasant walk from the hotel. We ran into a couple of issues, but the hotel resolved them, especially understandable as it had only just opened.
Dinner was quiet, which makes sense since they’d only been open a couple of months. We started with drinks on the terrace, then ate downstairs. The daurade and the bœuf were amazing, the views were great, and the staff were really lovely and polite.
We went for Friday evening drinks and cabaret. The rooftop bar was great for sundowners, and the singer was wonderful, performing from 1900 to 2000 before heading down to sing in the restaurant. Great entertainment, and the staff were very helpful.
