The soundproofing in the building is unbelievably bad. The boss didn't even answer when I said Bonjour right to his face 😂, and the kitchen lady refused to fill my water bottle from the tap 😂. At least the cleaning ladies are friendly. It's very cheap, but very bad. One star for the price, one for the cleaning ladies, and no stars for anything else.

The place is close enough to the town center for an easy evening walk, and parking is free. The rooms are very basic, but they have all the essentials. The bathrooms are shared with the other guests and are kept clean. You can use the kitchen for a small extra fee, and breakfast is available if you pay more. Just don't expect a hotel.

After a 12-hour drive, I stayed here for a night before a three-day hike in the mountains. Communication was good, and the host was there when I arrived. The beds and mattresses were good, and breakfast was okay, though I missed having a boiled egg. You get what you pay for.

I found this spacious hostel/hotel, converted from a former hospital, perfect for me. It's great value, the staff are friendly, and the town center is just a three-minute walk away. I'll keep coming back.

We came in October during the off-season, while renovation work was going on. Things were well organized, but the place felt a little deserted. Merci.
