Hotel Agena Hagondange

The staff were friendly, smiling, and gave us space. Our room was clean and nicely heated, with comfortable beds and a sturdy, comfy baby bed. Breakfast had a good choice of sweet and savory options. The price was reasonable compared with Airbnb.

The breakfast was disappointing: one piece of very poor-quality bread and one frozen croissant per person, with nothing more brought out even though we were still hungry. Service also let us down. Staff came in to make the beds while we were away and handled our belongings without asking. The hotel seemed small and friendly at first, but the lady on staff was absolutely rude, though the gentleman wasn't. We won't be back.

My headquarters recommended this hotel whenever people came to the area for work, and I understand why after staying here for a business trip. I spent about two months there and saw two seasons. At first it was just quiet trees and grass; as the weather got warmer, flowering trees and dandelions made the landscape beautiful. The building is quite old, but well maintained. Staff were friendly, and I had a room with a terrace where I could enjoy simple food and drinks, including alcohol. France's weather can change quickly, with plenty of rain and sunshine, and after one of those shifts a huge rainbow appeared. I'd never seen one so big. There was lots of space in the hotel's own parking lot, so parking wasn't a concern. If it did fill up, the lake park lot across from the hotel was another convenient option. I had a great stay in many ways and hope to see you again.

We were given a warm welcome, and the room was spacious with good-quality bedding. The soundproofing was poor, though, and there were unpleasant smells in the hallways.
