Lys Hôtel

The bright, spacious breakfast room had a good continental spread, from croissants and breads to cheese, ham, cereal, yogurt, juice, coffee, and tea. There's also a beer garden or outdoor cafe beside it for daytime and evening use. We booked one night before driving to Ypres and called ahead to say we'd arrive after 2200. When we got there at 2215, the night bell brought someone to open the gate to a large, free private car park. They checked us in cheerfully and, at our request, gave us a bottle of water from the closed bar, which was added to the bill at checkout. Our modern ensuite room was clean, comfortable, and a reasonable size. It faced the main street, but noise wasn't an issue, and there was a large flower box on the windowsill. The wifi was good and free, and the staff were friendly and helpful, with no problem speaking English. My wife and I were delighted with this 2 star hotel. It fit our needs perfectly, and we'd definitely stay again. Thank you.

We got in late, at 21h00, and they were so friendly and helpful. The rooms were very cheap and clean, the food was amazing, and breakfast was great. Thanks, thanks, thanks.

Really welcoming place to stay, with very good food. The bar stays open late, too.

The owners were very friendly. Good for a night's sleep, and there's a big breakfast in the garden.
