Pat's Chalet and Gîte is very peaceful, with sun and a stream nearby. The road is close, but you barely notice it over the water, and it’s a dead end that hikers are the only ones passing through. Shopping means taking the car, or a bike like I did, since the village is 6 km away. There are three very well-equipped gîtes in the chalet, each with its own terrace and parking space, and no one bothers you. The owners, Roland and Maryse, are lovely and chatty, though we can apparently talk even more than they do 😂. They’re also quick to respond. Nothing was missing from the kitchens, from crockery and cutlery to dishes. Thanks to Roland and Maryse for their warm welcome and empathy.

We had a great stay. The accommodation was spacious, thoughtfully laid out, and spotlessly clean, right on the slopes and reachable by car. The owners made the place feel welcoming and clearly love their region.

It’s so peaceful here, and the smell of nature is wonderful. You can eat out on the terrace, too. I’d love to come back for a holiday.
