The studio was nicely furnished, but getting a good night's sleep was difficult. It's beside a busy roundabout, and the traffic noise came through even with the windows shut. The proprietress also seemed very commercially minded. Despite the free cancellation policy, she offered to move the cancelled night to another date and call that “free”, while keeping 30% even though we cancelled a week ahead. I’d book through an agency such as booking.com to avoid dealing with what felt like a capricious and strange interpretation of free cancellation.

The garden made the place feel warm and inviting, and the atmosphere was always positive. Françoise was on hand with suggestions for places to see, including Saint-Antoine-l'Abbaye, some good wineries, and Palais Idéal, the remarkable palace built by a postman over more than three decades. We stayed for my wife's birthday and were warmly welcomed by the owners of this lovely family-run B&B in the countryside south of Lyon. Our room felt like home, and the family's early breakfast of crunchy baguettes, croissants, jams, and apricot juice was delicious. It's a place we'd happily return to.

We had everything we needed and more in the lovely apartment beside the house. Françoise and Yves were wonderful hosts, and this was the best BnB we've ever stayed in. Right in town, it also served the best breakfast, with fresh apricot juice, croissants, bread, and homemade conserves. Thank you for a wonderful visit. We highly recommend Chez L'Antiquaire.

We're relaxing in the lovely garden, and the little apartment is adorable. It feels like a real home away from home. Francoise and Yves have made us feel very comfortable and welcome. Excellent.

Really nice place. There's a kitchen and a fridge as well as the room and bathroom, and you can spend time in their beautiful garden. A great experience.
