Breakfast at Villa Giselle was a treat, with homemade cake, jams, and a healthy, delicious smoothie. It felt special, nothing like an ordinary B&B breakfast. We also got to meet a lovely couple from Turkey over breakfast, which made the visit even more charming. The hostess was warm and welcoming from the moment we arrived with our dog Cooper, and she helped us with anything we needed, including arranging dinner by phone and helping with parking. We enjoyed chatting with her at dinner and breakfast. The beautiful, characterful house is full of history and clearly well cared for. The whole stay felt cosy, sincere, and like visiting a beloved relative. We only wished we’d booked more than one night.

We spent two wonderful weeks at the Vallée des Anges. Marie-Odile has managed the place with so much care, and our children soon started saying, “We’re going home,” every day, even though they meant they wanted to go back to the guesthouse. The accommodation is extraordinary, and we had a different, beautifully prepared breakfast each morning. We’ll remember our time there for a long while.
