Le P Ti Blanc Des O

A lovely spot in Hellbourg. The rooms were nice and so was the owner.

We got there just in time for dinner and were able to shower at our own pace first. The punch had a strong rum taste, and the sausage rougail was delicious. After dinner we could choose from several infused rums. The hotel staff joined us for the meal, so we had a nice chance to chat and get tips for hikes we'd like to do later. I'd happily return if I get the chance.

Breakfast at Le P'ti Blanc des O was all homemade, from the bread and jams to the cakes. We also had dinner there, with farm-fresh food, including a delicious curry from Coq la Cour, beans, dessert, and a small glass of infused rum. The double room was spacious enough, well ventilated, and very clean, with a comfortable mattress and hangers in the wardrobe. Its private bathroom and toilet were clean too, and towels and soap were provided. Le P'ti Blanc des O is a lovely guesthouse rather than a hotel, designed and built by the owners and kept in excellent condition. Thank you to Mr. and Mrs. Nativel for all the care they put into it.

The room was adequate, with its own bathroom and toilet, though a few more power outlets and a warm place to sit together in the evening would have helped. We were two couples and usually get together for coffee and cards, but unfortunately there wasn't time for that here. The location worked very well for visits to the Bélouve refuge and Hell-Bourg. Breakfast was generous, and the owner makes an excellent evening meal if requested. She was happy to share her story and offer useful sightseeing tips.
