On our trip from home in France to Portugal, we picked Hendaye for our first night, and it worked out well. The staff were very friendly, our room was well appointed, and the evening meal was brilliant. We were comfortable, and it was easy to find from the motorway. Highly recommended.

The rooms were clean, but they felt and looked old. The room amenities were very basic, more like an old motel, and I don't see how this qualifies as a three-star hotel. The reception was unacceptable. Two guests got locked out with nobody at reception. They couldn't reach the hotel, and the internal phone they asked us to use wasn't working. They ended up sleeping in their car. That must never happen to anyone. I won't stay here again.

The rooms are old, though okay. The restaurant should serve more fresh food instead of relying only on things from the fridge.

Clean, warm, cosy and safe during the Covid restrictions. Our little Yorky enjoyed it too.

The bedding was really comfortable, and breakfast was very good with plenty to choose from. The staff were charming and very accommodating, and I thank them for that. Our stay went excellently. I'd highly recommend it.
