Hôtel Résidence Vacances Bleues Orhoitza

The location is amazing, and the staff we met were really nice and helpful. The apartment itself was really poor quality, though. The furniture is old and some pieces are damaged, and the appliances seem to be the cheapest available. There was no ironing board, no change of sheets during our week-long stay, and no towel replacement. They charge for towels, but kindly offered to lend us a mop to clean the bathroom after use. We were given a room for disabled guests (PMR), with no option to change it. Water got all over the bathroom floor whenever anyone used it, and we had to mop it up. There was mold on both the bathroom floor and ceiling, apparently because there was no HVAC. That also meant odors and humidity couldn't be cleared when someone used the toilet. The cupboard with the water heater smelled rancid, and there wasn't enough hot water for everyone to shower in the same day. The elevator to the parking lot broke while we were inside, and the apartment's main door was broken too, its handle didn't work. They apologized, saying they couldn't intervene because it was still under the contractor's warranty. Be careful when booking: the hotel and its apartments are in different buildings and locations. The second building has no facilities, and it seemed to be at a much lower standard.
