Maison de Plumes

We arrived close to midnight after travelling to France by Eurotunnel, and Nicholas was still up to welcome us with food and drinks. He showed us around the hotel and garden, then switched off the outside lights so we could look at the stars. English isn’t his first language, but he did his best to make us feel looked after, and that made a lasting impression. We stayed in Chambre Perroquet, a spacious, clean room with lovely furnishings and design, just as beautiful as the photos. Breakfast had plenty of choice, and we got to meet the hotel’s adorable dogs too. Our first visit to the town left us very happy. We had the best experience and will definitely come back.

The rooms and property looked just like the pictures, which was a relief after seeing so many places online that seem too good to be true. We also had dinner there one night, and it was incredible. Nico made the place feel like home, with all its comfort and charm. It was exactly the kind of getaway I’d hoped for, an absolute dream.

The shower cubicle could have been wider, though the bathroom itself was large, and the room was spacious and very comfortable. Amaury brought us drinks as soon as we arrived and welcomed us warmly. We had the three-course dinner: mozzarella and tomato to start, then salmon with rice and creamed spinach, followed by ice cream and chocolate for dessert. A lovely stay all around.

Amaury made organizing a group so much easier. He was patient and kept in touch through all our updates, changes and special requests, and was very welcoming to our group of ten adults and one baby. We rented all five bedrooms for two nights over New Year’s Eve. Breakfast and dinner on both days were delicious, and the festive New Year’s Eve dinner was especially fun. The service was top notch. We also enjoyed the hot tub spa, and Amaury gave us a map for a beautiful four-mile walk through the fields and local area. We’d recommend this home without hesitation, especially for big groups.
