Le Hameau de La Pinede

The location worked well for us: the nearby beach is easy to reach, and there are a few nice bars and restaurants within a ten-minute walk. We also appreciated the free, secure parking on site, since hiring a car here seems likely. There's a bus route outside the hotel too, though we didn't use it. At check-in, the woman at reception was friendly and gave us plenty of useful information about the hotel and the surrounding area. That was our only contact with staff. The grounds were tidy, the buildings were colourful, and the pool area was pleasant. Families seem to come here in numbers, so expect kids around the pool and some noise. The pool opening time of 10 a.m. felt late for a summer holiday; 8:30 would make more sense. The unit itself was clean and worked fine, with a reasonably equipped kitchen and cleaning supplies provided. That's pretty much the level of the place: functional and a little above basic. It's acceptable for a week, but I wouldn't pay a premium for it.
