We got lucky with the weather and had breakfast in the beautiful rose garden. It was elegant, French-style but still informal. The apartment was spacious, with stylish, comfortable furniture, and everything exceeded what we expected. It’s close to everything in Honfleur while still being quiet. And the owners were some of the nicest, most helpful people we’ve met. We’re eager to come back soon!

The building has been beautifully renovated, with huge high ceilings and electric blinds on the roof and windows. The decor is tasteful. Breakfast was delicious, with a huge selection: fruit, yogurt, bread, cheeses, eggs, crepes, and good decaf coffee. The people were really lovely, friendly, and helpful. We’ll definitely return.

We stayed five nights and really didn’t want to leave. Our room with a kitchen was amazing, and the staff were lovely and so helpful. Breakfast was plentiful and very tasty. Being right in town made it easy to walk out in the evenings and enjoy the restaurants. The nearby paid private parking was useful too. A real gem, and I’d highly recommend staying here if you visit Honfleur.

We stopped in Honfleur overnight in late September while travelling back to the U.K. from Brittany, and the town’s charm, energy, bars, and restaurants made it hard to pass by. A L’Ecole Buissonniere was a lovely place to stay, with comfortable beds and nice bathrooms in a beautiful setting. This family-run B&B is finished perfectly and feels very welcoming. The owner and staff were hospitable, and even gave us two bottles of homemade cider when we left. We can’t wait to visit again!

The port and old town are just 100 meters away, and the hotel itself sits on a quiet side street, so it’s a relaxing place to stay. Parking may be tricky if the small nearby lot is full, though there are a few bicycles for guests. My wife and I came in early July. It’s a typical small French boutique hotel, with plenty of atmosphere, a flower-filled little courtyard surrounded by very old buildings, tiny staircases, and pleasantly unusual rooms. Breakfast was well done in a shared dining room, and the young staff were helpful and personable. This isn’t the place for someone who needs all the modern amenities. But if you’re after a clean, quiet, romantic, well-run small hotel with lots of atmosphere, it fits the bill. I’d say it’s not suited to small, active children. If I return to Honfleur, I’d look forward to staying here again.
